For Manufacture Jörg Geiger, we have created a highly functional cold storage area with a total of six individually designed rooms, including a blast freezer, a deep-freeze room, a pre-cooling room, and three specially designed ripening rooms. The total area is approximately 220 m².
A special highlight: the ripening rooms were designed so that ethylene (C₂H₄) can be supplied in a controlled manner. This allows the stored fruit to be brought to the desired degree of ripeness all year round – crucial for the consistently high quality of the non-alcoholic sparkling wines and wines.
We were also able to implement specific technical requirements: A sophisticated rail system allows several doors to be stacked on top of each other, special SALCO lift and sliding doors (some of which are electric) ensure efficient processes, and robust impact protection technology protects the infrastructure. The north facade and the cold room doors were finished in RAL 7016 and blend harmoniously into the overall appearance of the building.
