For the Handelshof in Mönchengladbach, the successful concept from Rostock was not only adopted, but also specifically developed further. A sales area of around 13,350 m² was created, welcoming customers with a clear structure and inspiring design. New areas such as wine and bread were staged in a high-quality manner to create moments of enjoyment. The implementation took place in several construction phases – while the store remained open – and included information areas, tobacco zones, portals, illuminated lettering, and ceiling elements with slats that provide orientation and atmosphere.
Specially adapted furniture for fruit, vegetables, and bread, as well as an elegantly staged wine and champagne area, set the tone. Even the checkout area was structured with slats to create a pleasant feeling of space. The result is a market that combines functionality and experience, making every shopping trip something special.
