AIRFROSTER® for medical transport
The AIRFROSTER® conditions cooling packs reproducibly to defined target temperatures – validated for GDP-compliant transport of blood products, vaccines, biological samples, organic materials such as peptides, and temperature-sensitive active substances.
Practically qualified
Process-reliable cooling
Over 95 years of cooling expertise
Medical transport: Reliable cooling for temperature-critical goods
Cooling packs form the backbone of passive cold chains. Their reliable conditioning to defined target temperatures is essential for product quality and regulatory compliance.
The AIRFROSTER® conditions cooling packs reproducibly and in a validated manner – for the safe and sustainable transport of pharmaceuticals, blood products, vaccines, and biological samples.
For GDP-regulated applications, the AIRFROSTER® supports the reproducible implementation of temperature-controlled processes as well as documentation requirements in accordance with the Good Distribution Practice guidelines.
The challenge
Different temperature ranges, highest requirements
The solution
AIRFROSTER®: Two cooling chambers, precise temperature control, validated processes
The AIRFROSTER® features two independently controllable cooling chambers for the parallel conditioning of cooling packs to different target temperatures – validated, reproducible, and with complete temperature documentation up to the point of pack removal.
This ensures perfect passive cooling for the last mile and guarantees that recorded temperature values are accurate and reliable. All without compromising efficiency or sustainability: as an alternative to dry ice, the AIRFROSTER® reduces CO₂ emissions by around 90% – GDP compliance and environmental responsibility are not mutually exclusive, but complementary.
From lab to clinic: Process-reliable transport cooling for medical goods
Temperature-controlled transport of blood products
Blood units and plasma products require a continuous temperature range of +2 °C to +8 °C during transport. The AIRFROSTER® conditions cooling packs in a validated manner to the defined target temperature – regardless of external conditions.
Temperature-controlled transport for laboratory samples
Biological samples, tissue samples, and diagnostic materials are subject to specific temperature requirements. The two independent cooling chambers of the AIRFROSTER® enable parallel conditioning for different sample materials with varying target temperatures.
Safe vaccine logistics
Vaccines require different temperature ranges depending on the product type – from +2 °C to +8 °C for standard vaccines to −20 °C or lower for mRNA vaccines. The two independent cooling chambers of the AIRFROSTER® allow parallel preparation of cooling packs for different temperature requirements.
Validated cold chains for temperature-critical medical goods
Blood products, biological samples, and vaccines require seamless, documented temperature control throughout the entire transport process.
The AIRFROSTER® ensures process-reliable conditioning of cooling packs for passive cold chains in medical transport.
✓ Validated temperature control
✓ Quality management documentation included

Project process
From the first introduction to a tailored proposal
Initial consultation & process assessment
We discuss your process and already calculate an initial estimate of cooling time and the maximum number of cooling packs per AIRFROSTER®.
Practical process test with your cooling packs
We refine the initial estimate through a real-world test, including documented process qualification for your quality management system.
Preparation of a tailored proposal
Upon request, we prepare a proposal tailored to your specific requirements.
