Energy pipeline Zurich
A really special project in an unusual environment!
In Zurich, within the underground ERZ channel, spanning a length of approximately 2.5 kilometres, we successfully installed up to 12,000 square metres of insulation and 12,000 square metres of aluminium stucco embossed sheets for new district heating pipes.
To ensure maximum performance, we developed special lamella mats with a unique fibre structure. These mats exhibit a lower volume weight, enabling convenient and swift handling even in challenging conditions of up to 35°C.
Considering that the train track takes approximately 30 minutes for a single trip through the channel, the delivery of materials to specific stations posed additional challenges.
